About Us
We started off and still specialize in legacy engineering drawing archiving; electronically archiving outdated drawings created before CAD revolutionized the industry. What we found is that companies had huge volumes of drawings, transcending several decades, taking up entire rooms and sometimes sections of their warehouses. Too valuable to throw away, and unfeasible to browse efficiently, companies needed a way to get rid of these paper volumes while retaining their important data. Regardless of industry, all companies fall onto this crutch in some way or another but instead of blueprints it could be timesheets, work orders, customer invoices, or HR forms. We can also help relieve the workload of specific overworked employees or departments such as management and engineering.
Why Switch to Electronic Archiving?
Although an entirely paperless office environment may not be feasible right now, dashdata provides a more practical and
current approach to traditional data archiving. Whether we like it or not, there is still a need for paper records, and rather
than try to replace the pen altogether we are here to help companies reduce unnecessary waste and loss, improve efficiency and
eliminate costly storage systems. The data can be easily manipulated once it is scanned and entered into the system and can be accessed concurrently by any number of users.
Our Technology
Professional wide format scanners capture high resolution black and white images whereas traditional scanners generally
produce a grayscale image that can be hard to read especially if there are light markups and additionally have significantly
greater file sizes.
Our Ready to deploy Linux servers offer superior electronic security and specific access to files and folders only to users
with the correct rights. Very minimal setup is required and installation takes minutes.
Our user-friendly software offers large thumbnail browsing similar to thumbing through a stack of
paper records, or be specific and find exactly what you need by searching key fields.
Our prices are some of the most competitive in the industry. We are
constantly streamlining our processes and in-house
software to keep our rates low.
Document Imaging vs. Data Replication
Traditionally, data can be replicated by employing data entry personnel to reproduce the documents electronically by
MANUALLY typing the data into an electronic document or spreadsheet. This is a costly, time consuming process and originals
need to be retained in case of data entry error. We take a different approach by scanning the documents into high-resolution
images and enter key fields from each image into a searchable database.
